 Devaki pandit (hindustani classical vocal)
Devaki Pandit, a young classical singer, was born with music in her voice, charm in her persona, and she has successfully created magic in the world of classical music. She received initial training in music from her mother, Smt. Usha Pandit .Little did anyone realize that she would go on to win accolades from all over the world , weaving a spell over all those who heard her sing.
At the tender age of nine, Devaki gave her first stage performance, leaving the audience mesmerized by the magic of her voice. Devaki has moved on to encompass in her range of achievements, Classical music [Vocal], light music ,film music and much more. Her first recording was at the age of twelve when she recorded for a children’s album released by Polydor.
She is the first recipient of the prestigious Kesarbhai Kerkar Scholarship perhaps the only one to receive the scholarship for two consecutive years. She won the Maharashtra State Award for Best Female Playback Singer, Maharashtra Government’s Best Female Playback Singer award, Aditya Vikram Birla Kalakiran Puraskar for the year 2004 and the Zee Alpha Gaurav Puraskar.
The list of achievements seems exhaustive, but the star of Devaki has only just begun to shine.
