IMA concert series named Idea Jalsa - Music for the soul, is the successful effort of a Nation wide tour commenced in May 2006, achieving a feat of accomplishing 36 Idea Jalsas in 36 cities/ towns all across the country in 23 months!

Idea Jalsa - Music for the soul begins with the performance by a Young Maestro followed by a Legendary Maestro's performance. Idea Jalsa is for all music lovers.

Idea Jalsa is designed to present the art and science of Indian music, more interesting to every music enthusiast and give an unforgettable experience. Music transcends beyond the boundaries of stage craft and elevates the soul. Interactive session post the recitals, addressed by both the performing Maestro and the Young Maestro makes it a unique experience.

The 3rd year of its inception..., and IMA was contemplating reaching out to the masses, which prompted the academy to embark upon the effort of creating state of the art production of 26 episodes televised series creating the first cultural window of introduction to Indian Music, by presenting performances by the best. Idea Jalsa now a television series is on DD National every Sunday morning 11.00 am to 11.30 am IST. The musical escapade will take you to the heights of ecstasy and leave you craving for more.
