Runa Rizvi

Runa Rizvi the latest singing sensation in the world of music is the worthy daughter of Ghazal maestro Rajkumar Rizvi & Indrani Rizvi. She belongs to the kalavant gharana and has been trained in classical, semi-classical and light classical music & can sing anything from Hindi film songs to Ghazals,thumri, Folk,Punjabi & Sufi Music as well as Western & Pop music, with equal elan.

She started performing at the tender age of 6 with her father and guru shri rajkumar rizvi. She has performed & worked with famous artists like Leslie Louis, Bappi lahiri,Sandesh Shandilya, Sultan Khan,Abhijeet, Mahalkhsmi & Jaspinder Nirula.

She has not only performed in India but all over U.K & U.S.A and conducts work shops regularly with her father every year in new york ,Chicago and Toronto. Recently RUNA sang for Jagmohan Mundra’s film ‘PROVOKED’ under the guidance of the musical genious A.R RAHMAN.

Her forthcoming projects include playback singing for big banners films of noted film-makers like Jhamu Sugandh, and Shyam Benegal. Presently she is working towards her upcoming projects with illustrious composers like A. R. Rehman, Pritam, Sandesh Shandilya, SalimSulaiman and Jatin-Lalit.
